SJS Snack Time Rules & Guidance
To help our mornings run smoothly and keep everyone healthy and focused, we have a 15-minute morning snack time each day.
During this time, students may eat one snack item and one drink.
✅ Acceptable Snack Choices
Students are encouraged to bring healthy, easy-to-eat snacks such as:
Fresh fruit or applesauce cups
Yogurt
Granola bars or oatmeal bars
Cheese and crackers
Goldfish or Cheez-Its
Breakfast cereal bars
One small juice box/pouch or a bottle of water
Snacks That Are Not Allowed
To keep everyone feeling well and avoid upset stomachs, the following items are not permitted during morning snack:
Candy or chocolate
Cookies or dessert items
Spicy chips (such as Takis, Hot Cheetos, or spicy Doritos)
Large meals or multiple snacks
Snack Supplies
If your snack requires a spoon or fork, please send one from home.
The classroom does not have utensils available, and going to the cafeteria for one will take up our short snack time.
Sharing Policy
No sharing of snacks is allowed.
This rule helps protect students with food allergies and respects each family’s food choices.
⏰ Time Management
Snack time lasts for 15 minutes only.
Students should be ready to begin class promptly when time is up.
Please pack a snack that can be eaten comfortably within that time.
Parents we thank you for your cooperation!
