Good afternoon Saint Joseph School Community. I pray all are well and safe. This time the weather forecast was correct. Due to the weather and safety for our community, Saint Joseph School will be Closed Monday January 26, 2026. Students who were in attendance in school Friday January 23, received school work to do on Monday January 26 in the event school was closed. School closings are announced on News 12 and Channel 7- WABC
They also received a flyer with our acivities scheduled for Catholic Schools Week January 26 thru Friday January 30, 2026. The Theme for the week, "Catholic Schools United in Faith and Community", Friday now will be a full day of school. All tag days listed will continue for each day. as listed on the flyer.
On Wednesday January 28 The Theme "Celebrating the Nation":. We will add Monday's theme "Celebrating Our Community".:.If any parents/guardians wish to come and share with their child's class what they do in the Nation or Community please email your child's teacher. The hours between 9 and 11:00 AM.
In listening to the weather forecast for this week, even when the snow and freezing sleet and rain end sometime Monday, the temperature is not suppose to rise above the freezing temperature leaving what is on the ground frozen and extremely slippery. So we will take this week one day at a time.
Extra slice pizza money will be due Thursday January 29, 2026. Tag Day money is $1.00 each day students participate.
All afterschool activities will resume when we return to school. There is Ms. Chocolate Candy $1.00 per bar or $60.00 per case available for sale. Please fill our order form in your email.The Spring Candy Sale catalogs were sent home to the oldest in each family, Friday January 23 to those families who did not opt out. We need to raisefunds for school operating expenses and repairs we have throughout the year.The sale goes from February 2 thru February 26, 2026. .
A reminder that all January 15 tuition is past due. Late fees of $50.00 will be applied Monday January 26 if not paid. All outstanding breakfast/lunch invoices are due immediately. Contact Ms Lissy Dismukes , bursar if you have any concerns.
The Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children application opens February 2, 2026. You will need your 2025 Income tax to upload with your application.
