Good evening Saint Joseph School Community. I pray all continue to be well and safe. This three day weekend brought unexpected snow and now extremely cold weather. The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminds us of our responsibities to be the light of his and our own dreams by continuing to try to be peacemakers in an uncertain world we live. Let us continue to pray for each other in our community.

This week school was closed Monday January 19,2026. School will be open full days Tuesday January 20 thru Friday January 23. All Afterschool extra curricular activities will take place. Please make sure all fees for these activities are paid for the month of January or your child will not be able to participate.

Any outstanding invoices for breakfast/lunch are due. Extra Pizza money is due by Thursday January 22, $2.00 for each extra slice.

Favorite sweatshirt or hoodie Tag Day will be Thursday January 22, 2026. Donation $2.00. Tag day dress policy is in effect. No torn, distressed or inappropriate writing on clothing.No crocs, clogs or slippers can be worn.

We have a new supply of chocolates for sale. The brand is Ms. Chocolate. The cost is $1.00 per bar or $60.00 per case. Please fill out form in your email to order. If you can;t get order form in your email, we have forms in the office. Please check your spam files for the email.

Next week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week from Sunday January 25, thru Saturday January 31, 2026. Schedules will be sent home this week for the activities planned. 

Winter Map Testing begins tomorrow Tuesday January 20, 2026. Testing will take place thru Friday February 13, 2026. Please if your child is not feeling well, keep them home. Please encourage your child to do their best, take their time and follow directions.  If your child brings their chromebook home, make sure it is charged for the testing. 

The SFIC Scholarship fund application opens February 1, 2026. You will need your 2025 income tax forms completed to upload to your application.

Due to the bitter cold expected this week , students may wear their gym unifirms with sneakers. Students must dress warmly coats, hats gloves. If they wear boots, they must bring their shoes or sneakers to change into around the school. Make sur all clothing is labeled with your child's name. If you need to bring your child in at a later time due to the  cold weather, please call the office and advise if they take school lunch. There will be No :Lates.
