Good evening Saint Joseph School community. Welcome to February 2025 as we celebrate "Black History Month". I pray all are well and safe. We seem to still be fighting these viruses that have attacked some of us in different forms. We must all strive to take care of ourselves and seek medical attention when needed. Congratulations to our Catholic Schools Week Faculty Commitee for a successful week of events and activities last week. We hope our school community enjoyed themselves. Our faculty and staff applaud our students and committe for the appreciation breakfast and certificates they received on Friday. Thank you to all who donated to our care packages for the East Orange Veterans Hospital. 

This first week of February is a full week of school with No half days. All afterschool extra curricular activities will take place at their regular days and times. 

Map testing will continue.this week for grades one thru eight. If any student has missed any part of the test, they have until February 14 to complete the test.

There is still boxes of  World Finest Chocolates available to help those families who have not met their fundraising obligation for this school year. 

Students who participated in the Catholic Schools' Week Tag days and owe monies, please send the money into the school office in an envelope with their name and amount enclosed.

Since we are celebrating Black History Month our Tag days for this month will be Black, Green or Red, with the exception of February 13 when we will celebrate Valentine's Day and the colors are Red, White or Pink,  Since Friday February 14 will be a 12:00 dismissal, we will celebrate Valentine's Day on February 13, 2025.
Thursday February 6 is a Black History Tag Day. Tag Day dress policy will be in effect. No torn, distressed or written on jeans or tee shirts.No crocs or clogs can be worn. Thursday February 13 will be a Pizza lunch day.

The Scholarship fund for Inner City Children application opened Saturday February 1, 2025. If you received a scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year, you should have rceived an email for you to reapply. If you did not receive a scholarship or are new, please try again or apply. You will need your 2024 tax return.

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will begin in March 2025. Information will be available in the next few weeks.
