Good evening Saint Joseph School Community. I pray all are well and safe. I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. Prayers are requested for our faculty and satff. School will reopen Tuesday February 17 regular hours. Tuesday February 17 thru Friday February 20 will be full days of school. All after school extra curricular activities will take place.
Wednesday February 18, 2026 we begin the Lenten Season. This is Ash Wednesday and w will have our school Mass. Ashes will be given to our students who desire to get them on their forehead. If a student does not want them they will walk up with their arms crossed over their chest just to receive a blessing.
Lenten Season last forty days from February 18 through April 2, 2026. There are three practices during this time, praying, fasting and almsgiving. A time to build our relationship and come closer to God. A time to reflect on oneself and change those things within ourselves to become better.
Extra slice of pizza money will be collected Thursday February 19, The color Purple Tag day will be held Thursday February 19. Tag day dress policy will be in effect. No torn, distressed or inappropriate writing on jeans or tee shirts. No crocs, clogs or slippers can be worn. Donation $2.00.
The Spring Fundraiser and Ms. Chocolate are ongoing. Both can be used to fulfill your $700.00 obligation.
The Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children online application opens March 1, 2026 thru May 1, 2026. Your 2025 income tax must be completed to upload with your application.
Saturday February 21, 2026 is the last home game of our 2025-2026 basketball season. We will be honoring our eighth grade varsity boys basketball team during their game. Playoffs begin next week. We will be hosting the third and fourth grade girls playoffs Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1, 2026. Times will be announced.
Black History Programs will be held Friday February 27, 2026. Pre k thru grade 5, 9:30 AM in gymnasium. Grades 6-8 1:30 PM in gymnasium.
Bake sale will take place.
